BSE
- BSE Stands for
Best Sequence Execution, started ~2008 on FluidAnims. This competition was continued after the Merger on StickPage.
- Successful BSEs consisted of 10 rounds, with 4 weeks per round. Participants would get points from a range of 1-10 per round they participated in from judges. Users could attempt to win overall with the most points from all rounds, or can aim to win one individual round.
- There were 3 successful BSE events that finished all 10 rounds: v3 by Supranova, v4 by Oxob, and v5 by Camila.
- This system of rounds and judging points per round is similar to DICE held in 2016. The main difference is that DICE only had 5 rounds from Hyun's Dojo Inhouse, as opposed to 10 led by one person.
DICE
- DICE, or Dojo Inhouse Challenge Exhibition, was held at Hyun's Dojo in 2016, sponsored by Artisul.
- The way it was held worked similar to BSE, where animators would animate whichever round they liked and judges would vote using a set of points.
Flash
- Can be either referred to as the animation software or the player. Most animators will refer to the program when stating that they use Flash. This is not to be confused with "flashdrives", a "flash" of lightning, or "The Flash" (superhero) - all of which are completely separate entities.
- The Flash player allows animation from the software to be shared onto the web. Adobe ended player support for browsers at the end of 2020.
- Flash is a shortened term from the program FutureSplash, which is also the name of the company that made the first edition of the program.
- Newer versions of the Flash program have been renamed to Adobe Animate. However, the software as a whole has remained the same. Thus, .FLA files can be opened in the newest version of Adobe Animate even if originally created through one of its older predicessors.
FluidAnims
- Website that hosted the first "golden age" of the stick-figure community's niche
- Site hosted and cultivated by Travis "Stone" Steven from 2006-2012
- Merged with StickPage in 2012, causing the domain to close
- Commonly abbreviated to FA
RHG
- RHG, formerly known as Rock Hard Gladiators, originated on the site Rock Hard Anims (abbreviated to RHA) by Stone. The RHG system was then transferred to his newer site, FluidAnims, and then to Stickpage during the Merge in September of 2012.
- Animators participated in RHG by creating gladiators (usually in the form of stick-figures) and then request other animators to battle them. Both animators would create a fight animation featuring the other gladiator, and then users would vote to decide who would win on a forum hosted on whichever website was active at the time.
- RHG's current acronym now stands for "Rogues, Hunters, and Gladiators," decided on September 2021 by Hyun when discussing potential integration for Dojo Duels. Nothing major has been done with this acronym yet, so the majority still knows the acronym as "Rock Hard Gladiators".

SWF
- SWF, or Shockwave Flash, is the file type that appears after you export an animation in the Flash program (ctrl+enter).
- SWF files used to be able to be uploaded to the web via. Flash player, before Flash player support was ended for browsers.
